Measuring Your Dog's Paw
1) Place a piece of paper on the floor and let your dog stand on it with one front paw
2) Lift the other front paw so that the paw on the paper is weight-bearing
3 )Mark on the paper front and back and left and right where the paw touches the paper (including nails)
4) Measure between these marks to obtain the width and length measurements
5) It is advisable to obtain the measurements twice for confirmation
Fitting of Shoes
- Undo the velcro straps fully
- Place the paw into the shoe
- Ensure the paw is to the front of the shoe and hold it in place with your thumb on top and index finger underneath
- Whilst holding the paw in place wrap the straps firmly around the paw
- Repeat the above process with all remaining paws
Do not assume that your dog's breed size indicates the size of shoe required
You need to accurately measure the width and length of your dog's front paw (the back paw will be smaller)
and compare to the chart provided in the listing photos
The width measurement is the most important to match.
As long as your dog's paw measurement is no longer than the measurement provided in the chart the shoe will fit
(it is ok if the length is shorter)
